Hi guys & gals,
Welcome back to another life changing blogpost by moi. Now your all probably wondering what the heck the Rokeach Value Survey is but for all those of you who took Philosophy class, you'll probably know what I'm talking about. It's quite interesting and just take the survey for a few minutes if your free. If you wish wish too you can copy, paste and print out the survey, it's pretty cool I assure you. The instructions are as follows
Now below are two lists, each in alphabetical order. Each value is accompanied by a short description and a blank space. Your goal is to rank each value in order of importance to you for each of the two lists. Study each list and think of how much each value may act as a guiding principle in your life.
To begin, select the value that is of most importance to you. Write OR Type the number 1 in the blank space next to that value. Next, choose the value that is of second importance to you and write or type the number 2 in the blank next to it. Work your way through the list until you have ranked all 18 values on the pages. The value that is of least importance to you should appear in Box 18.
When you have finished ranking all 18 values, rank the next 18 values in the seconds list in the same way. Please do both lists separately.
When ranking, take your time and think carefully. Feel free to go back anc change your order should you have second thoughts about any of your answer. When you have completed the ranking of both sets of values., the results should represent an accurate picture of how you really feel about what's important in your life.

Well there you have it, 2 lists consisting of 18 items each. Rank them how you will and remember one very important piece of advice. These are lists down to the individual. There isn't a right or wrong. We may all rank it differently and perhaps some of us may think that the others order of ranking may be completely off or totally out of line. The most important thing is to respect one anther's opinion and what values they regard as priority over the other. There's nothing wrong with being different, it is in fact that we being able to possess this sense of uniqueness that makes us special, that make us human.
